Authorized by the Chinese government, the China center for adoption affairs is responsible for the international and domestic adoptions.

Chinese center for adoption affairs is reponsible for
• inter-country adoption work (receiving and reviewing the applications and other adoption documents from foreigners who wishe to adopt Chinese children)
• post-adoption control of Chinese children in foreign countries
• assisting in cases of foreign-related rights and interests of the adopted Chinese children

China center for adoption affairs requirements for adoptive parents:
• Adoptive parents should NOT have biological children, adopted children, step-children.
• The capacity of rearing and educating the adoptees (physically, intellectually, financial)
• No mental disease and infectious disease.
• Age of adoptive parents hould be 30+.
• Foreign adoption parents can only adopt one child at a time.
