Language Universals

Each language is unique. But American linguist and anthropologist Edward Sapir said that languages has common features. It is called Language Universals. It is very difficult work to collect such features. But knowleadge about common features move us near languages rules.

In 1961 in New York take place scientific conference with the main theme - Language Universals.

And there was accepted Memorandum of Language Universals. There are some statements.

• Most languages have verb, adjective, adverb.
• Each language has pronouns.
• Each language has service word (i.e. I like swimming AND hunting. Would you like to drink tea OR cofe.)
